Zeleni vir i vražji prolaz
Ovaj dio prirode 1962. godine proglašen je posebnim geomorfološkim rezervatom, te sada spada u kategoriju zaštićenog krajobraza.
Vrajži prolaz uski je kanjon podno mjesta Skrad dug oko 800 metara i širok oko 2 metra. Kroz uski kanjon probija se potok Jasle koji je tisućama godina klesao kamen da bi napravio ovaj prolaz koji zapanjuje snagom vodene stihije. Nad njim su na metalnim nosačima usječenim u stijenu napravljeni mostići i stepenice kojima se prolazi. Ulaz u kanjon se nalazi pored Planinarskog doma. Na kraju kanjona nalazi se spilja Muževa hišica. Dugačka je oko dvjesto metara te je bogata sigama, a na kraju spilje nalazi se jezerce. Spilja nije osvjetljena.
Izletište Zeleni vir nosi ime po snažnom izvoru na dnu plitke, prostrane spilje nad čijim su se ulazom nadvile okomite stijene visoke od 70-ak metara, niz koje se ruši slap stvarajući blistavu vodenu zavjesu. Zeleni vir dobio je ime po zelenkastoj boji vode u jezercu koje nastaje u spilji. Do ove spilje dolazi se prolazeći uskom strmom stazom uz hidrocentralu koja na području Zelenog vira postoji od 1921. godine.
Do Zelenog vira se može doći na nekoliko načina. Prvi način je da u centru Skrada skrenete lijevo sa državne ceste D3 Rijeka – Zagreb i spustite se asfaltiranom, ali strmom cestom do samog izletišta.
Ako želite pješačiti preporučamo ostaviti auto uz objekt PINS-a preko puta željezničke postaje u Skradu, te pješice krenuti strmom šumskom stazom prema izletištu. Da bi stigli do izvora Zeleni vir potrebno Vam je oko 40 min hoda. Zatim se možete okrijepiti u planinarskom domu u izletištu, te se vratiti kroz kanjon Vrajži prolaz šumskom stazom natrag u Skrad. Za taj dio Vam je potrebno oko 1,30 do 2 h hoda.
Ukoliko želite koristiti e-bicikle za odlazak u izletište oni se mogu iznajmiti u objektu PINS-a od 10-17 h svaki dan.

Green whirpool and devils passage
This part of nature was declared as a special geomorphological reserve at year 1962, and since then it belongs to the category of protected landscapes.
Vražji prolaz is narrow canyon, 800 meters long and 2 meters wide beneath the town of Skrad. Through the narrow canyon breaks stream Jasle which emboss stone for thousands of years and shows us strength of the water power. Above it, on metal carriers carve into the rock, bridges and stairs are made for passing through canyon.
Entrance into a canyon is near Planinarski dom (mountain lodge). At the end of the canyon is a cave called “Muževa hižica”. It is long about two hundred meters and rich with stalagmites, and at the end of the cave is a small lake. The cave is not illuminated.
The resort Zeleni vir (Green whirlpool) is named after a strong spring at the bottom of a shallow spacious cave over whose entrance overhangs a vertical rocks high 70 meters and along them crashes a waterfall creating a shining water curtain. Zeleni vir get it name after the greenish color of water in a lakelet which appear in a cave. To reach this cave with spring is possible by a narrow steep path along the hydro power plant that has existed in Zeleni vir since 1921.
Visitors can come to Zeleni vir by several ways.
The first way is, from Skrad center turn left from the state road D3 Rijeka – Zagreb, and descend approx. 8 km on tarmac steep road to the excursion site itself.
If you want to hike, we recommend you to leave a car near the PINS facility across the railway station in Skrad, and walk on foot by the steep forest trail to the excursion site. To get to the Zeleni vir you need about 40 minutes’ walk. Then you can refresh in a mountain lodge at the excursion site and return through the canyon of Vražji prolaz (Devils passage) by the forest trail back to Skrad. For this walk approx. 1.30 to 2 hours of walking is needed.
If you want to use the e-bikes to go to the Zeleni vir, they can be rented at the PINS facility from 10AM to 5PM every day.
